I dont believe my eyes!!
True - very true.rajudm said:title says it all. 'Bunch Of Jokers' will put out any show if people are there to believe it.
rajudm said:If we don't consider transferred cases, there are many I believe which have lost tracking between FP, Name check and their own internal IBIS name check. Unfortunately mine is one among them. I guess it happened when an RFE was issued on my I140.
At this point only way to make them synchronize their activity (Name check, IBIS name check and FP results) is to use power of influence (i.e Senator, congressman.) I am reluctant in going to them now itself (with my India trip coming up shortly...Nov 19th), I don't want to be approved on November 15th. Who knows 'jokers' can do anything.
For a change, now I am praying not be approved before 19th November.
So how does one know if his/her case is in pending 'name check' status?rajudm said:It can be done anytime after I1485 is received. In some cases it may not happen until they are forced to from their superiors (people who fund them...ie congressmen and senators).

does it reflect online or something?
ETA-GC said:I hate to sound pessimistic but there are many, many cases with ND's prior to June 2003 which haven't been processed yet. Probably at least 50%.
Also the USCIS considers cases which have been transferred to local offices as "processed" (same as approved / denied as far as they are concerned) so while many cases are "off the books" for the VSC, they are now languishing at the local centers. I believe that over the last 6 months or so the VSC has started to transfer more and more cases (probably in an effort to make their backlog look better). See http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?p=950378#post950378 -- in some months, 50% or more of the cases have been transferred...
They do seem to be approving more cases than 6 months ago (although things seem to have slowed down a bit since October 1st) but many people might still have to wait for 1 year or longer even if their ND is < June 2003 (mainly if their case is transferred).
