Is transit visa required in Germany with 485stamp?

Friends,

Please comment. I have 551 stamp in the passport before they implemented biometrics. Can I use it to transit in Frankfurt or should I get a transit visa?

How to get transit visa for germany? Because my pp stampped, not recived plastic card I plan to travell by nov. I dont think I will get card by that time.
Flight via frankfurt/paris stop need such stamp, how to get/apply ?

Does any one know how long it could take to get it? I am planning to go in Nov and return in Dec. How long is the transit visa valid? My return is after a month.

I have the stamp in April, any predictions if I could get the card before my trip?

Second day

I would say total processing time is 1 working day, atleast in Chicago.
I got my german transit visa next day after I applied. Submitted passport and collected passport by going to German consulate in person. If you process by mail, add postal delivery.
