I saw this statement in the AP section of the forum....Is this TRUE coz I am planning to go to india on AP and there get my H1 extension stamped.......I have a AOS pending.....

U can get ur H1 stamped at the consulate even if u have a AOS pending.

Consulates _do_ do the stamping, but beware - they do random security checks (somewhere they always do it) and it takes a long time for them to do the check and sending the passport to Department of state therefore is a vaild piece of advice, but for different reasons. AOS has nothing to do with H1, those are two separate things.
