Is this true, Multiple entry visa becomes Single entry if you change the company

Hi Guys,
Is this true, if you have visa with different company, and if you change company(H1 transfer) would it become single entry.

I was under impression that same multiple visa holds good even if you change the company, no need to transfer visa. Please give your expertise.
