Can some kind souls please tell me if the below is correct for consular processing :
1) Priority date becomes current
2) File I-485
3) USCIS received form I-485
4) USCIS initiate FBI background checks
5) FBI Background checks complete and informs USCIS ( takes 6+ months)
6) USCIS informs me to have medical check
7) Medical check passed
8) Go for interview
9) Received my Green Card
I read on the internet that consular processing usually takes 6-8 months
Does this means that once my priority date becomes, if I use consular processing, I will have to wait another 6-8 months before I received my green card?
