Hello everyone this is my first post here. I filed for i-130,485,765 and 131 on June 2 2006.

I went for Finger printing on June 26th 2006.

I had my interview with my wife on Aug 2nd 2006 for I-485. Case status is that it is MO office and last time the file was looked at was on 12/02/06

On saturday i got a email saying that my Work permit "card was ordered for production. :)

I don't seem to understand is this process normal. Most of the cases i have read here say that they got their EAD and then went in for a appointment. Does this mean i will have a second appointment.

PLEASE ADVICE.

I looked at your timeline. Filed in June - Interview in August. You actually got your interview quickly. Usually the EAD is approved within 90 days of filing and sent before the interview date is set or while one is waiting to go to the interview. It took a lot longer for you to get EAD - 6 months  It may be your AOS is caught up in the "name check or background check process" There shouldn't be a second interview unless they suspect "fradulent marriage" so don't worry.

NESHAWN. That's what i thought too. At the interview the immigration officer was like how could you get your appointment so quickly most people wait and pray to get it this early. I guess this is normal. My lawyer tells me the same that the Name Check takes forever. I am not concerend as it hasn't been a long time since i filed. I was just baffled how i had my interview before my EAD arrived.

One way you will find out what is what is when you go to Social Security Office to request Social Security Card. If they have you in the system then name check has been cleared. Hopefully they will so you will get SSN within 2 weeks so you can work. If not, then you will have to wait till USCIS gets your information in the database and that may take another month.
What about your Advanced Parole? That usually is provided withing 120 days. You still might get your approval letter and green card soon.

Neshawn there is more to my story. I came to the US as a student on F1. This was pre 9/11 i got my SSN number back in 1999. I got married to my wife last year and after that i have laid my timeline out. My lawyer says that the Name Check maybe taking so much time is because i entered as a student and that might be taking more time. I don't know how much truth there is to that as i would think the FBI has a standard protocol for these type of things.

Oh ok, then it really is hard to say what is going on. :o I think the process is almost completed for you and all will go well. Just keep calling to find out if any progress has been made. Best wishes.

Hi:

That is likely not the case. There is a standard procedure involved, and some people take longer to clear than others. Just be patient and inquire about your case on a regular basis once you have been waiting 6 months or more.

That is what i thought to. I think all it comes down to is luck and no one had control over these thing. Good Luck to all.

Hi:

No - receiving a SS card is not an indication that the NC has cleared. Most people find out when they have the interview or when the "Welcome Letter" arrives, or it indicates online that the "Welcome Letter" was sent.

How long does it take for the EAD to arrive once you get that "Card ordered for production email" I alos changed my address the very next day. I hope it is mailed to the new address or else i have to beg my old landlord to keep an eye out for it and hope he give it to me.
