Hi all

My mom, a USC, sponsored my brother unmarried, over 21 (priority date Aug 2002). She received DS 3032 along with I-864 bill ($70.00) two weeks ago. On the form it says that after they received this fee, they will send her the I-864 (affedevit of support form) but instead she has just received a visa application processing fee of $380.00. This letter says that upon receipt of this fee, they will send her DS-230 Part 1.

My questions are

1. Whatever happend to the I-864 form.
2. Is this timeline normal? they are processing cases of 22 Apr2001.
3. His catagory is 1st. what if he gets married now, his catagory will change? am I right?

Well Zeenman, maybe she will soon get it, if she does not then she must call the NVC. She must follow the instructions carefully. Sadly not because the NVC is processing the case meant that he will ge a interview soon, they are stuck 22april01 for a very long time now. NVC completed my case and send it the embassy from July and my priority date is in July 2002. No interview yet. It sucks!

So the embassy takes a long time too. Which embassy has your case? I think it depends upon the case load of the embassy.
