Is this normal ? We applied in Jul 2013

Hi Everyone,

just wondered if this is normal, we applied for citizenship via N400 in July 2013. We received I797-C on July 15th, but then the next we heard was a yellow form "This is not an interview notice" on Oct 7th 2013; all that notice said was bring your driving license to the interview.

And, we haven't heard anything since, and now it is Jan 26th. Status according to USCIS is still "Initial Review".

Have you done fingerprinting yet? If not, that's definitely abnormal.

You should have at least been fingerprinted by now. Take an infopass appt and see whats up. Its been over 6 months now

Nope, not fingerprinted or anything yet. However, my wife did find something yesterday that said that our service center (Dallas, TX) is currently processing applications from June 2013 - sigh ! This is like the green card all over again.

They are APPROVING applications that were filed in June 2013. You haven't even done fingerprinting yet, so something is definitely wrong. Make an Infopass appointment to inquire about the status of your case and try to get them to help initiate your fingerprint appointment. Bring your I-797C receipt notice and green card.
