Is this normal - 2 cards ordered for production?

I had filed an I-90 to get the mistakes on my GC corrected. I received a card production email from USCIS on June 21. I got another email again today saying that my card production order was sent on June 26!! They ordered 2 cards?? This just feels bizzare! Anyone else experienced this? If I do get 2 cards, then which one is correct??

Hi Summerwine/ Gurus need help.

I have a couple of questions that I need your help on.

1) My GC has an error in my last name one alphabet has been misspelt as S instead of a Z.

I have not yet rec'd the GC in hand but gathered this from my 485 receipt notice. I am in the Card production ordered stage, so question is should I call up customer service and correct( If yes will this delay actual card receipt-- which I do not want cause I want to travel). Or should I wait get it in hand and then file I -90 ( WHAT SUPPORT WILL I need if i file i-90 , passport copies, copy of usa drivers liscence , original EAD CARDS( NOW THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER NEEDED).

Please advise what you did if yours was a similar error

Quick question though, I just need to go to Canada by road, Can I go with the one I receive and come back and do the I-90 stuff.

What do you think????? Since I am not taking an air trip and my photo pretty much matches my face.Everything in my name except for the one alphabet is correct and it doesnt even look wrong( my dumbass lawyers secretary who is portugese just typed it the way they do it

----------------you need card to enter Canada and then to enter US if US side note the mistake on card then inform them that you are going to file form I-90 for correction (keep the I-485 filing reciept copy, passport with you)

FYI you cant file I-90 with Local USCIS office

----------------------Local USCIS will not stamp the passport if one has the Card. if the info on Card is incorrect then person need to send I-90 to the service center that approved the I-485. if one file I-90 with option D then service center will not send I-90 filing reciept. if it is not USCIS mistake then one can Efile the I-90 and can get I-90 filing reciept and can go to local office with infopass and I-90 filing reciept and can get Passport stamped.

Looks like you will have to determine whether it is a USCIS mistake or your (or your lawyer's or employer's) mistake. Do you have a copy of the I-485 form that was originally filed?

No i do not have a copy, but I will get one from lawyer asap., but is it okay for travel by road where just card is required?
