Hello!

Question: It is going to be be strange that we did not file earlier?

We got married in court and have all the prove. We have our

- marriage certificates
- Our bank accounts
- Flight ticket of traveling everywhere together.
- I am on his health insurance
- Car insurance
- Life insurance
- Cards and letters from back home
- hotels reservation from all our trips with our names on them
- Prove that he pays for my school
- We own a car together
- We belong to the same church
He got his house from his parents so the house is already preowned.
- We have our house back homw with both our names on it.
- We have vidoes and pictures.
- We have western union receipts to prove that he was sending me money while in high school.
- Right now we have receipts proving he sends money to my mom.
- Because we got married in court we do not have marriage pictures but we have many happy pictures.
What more prove can we have to prove that we have been happily married. We have tried to have babies but we keep loosing them. We are praying that God will grant us many babies one day.

Im my opinion, it is all luck. In my case, our offical ask us for the acutal gift after we show the gift receipt for my wife. We also was ask to show the actaul check book beside the bank statement. We were ask for my wife previous house, which her uncle and daugther live right now, utility bill. We were stunt on the items request. Surely, I did not prepare for the above docuemnt.

You surely need to show 2005 income tax and don't bring the video.

Good luck. I will pray for you!

It sounds about right. You have a lot of documents showing marriage in good faith. Don't worry that you don't have wedding ceremony pictures. There's simple explanation - many people leave it for later when they can afford it or simply don't set such. Different reasons. As a matter of fact our interviewer didn't even ask for pictures or copies of all those documents we've been gathering for so long. He just ask us to name them. He Never had a look at anything. Good luck girl. You have plenty of proof.

Sounds like you have all your bases covered! It is not unusual even for US couples not to have marriage photos if they just had a civil wedding (i.e. court)

You did not mention anywhere how long you were married before you filed. However, as an example, we only filed after being married 1-1/2 years. We hope that it wont be a problem either, and we dont anticipate that it will.

I don't think that would be a problem.
I think it'll be a benefit since if approved you'll receive a permanent (non conditional) green card.

We have been married for 6 years. Currently I am on a f1 visa. I was in school and for some reason did not see the need to apply for a green card. But now I would love to go to graduate school and don't want to pay high fees.

That does make sense. You can get a minority scholarship if you're are a permanent resident. Everything sounds good. Just make sure you have filled out all the forms correctly and the amount of the checks is correct. Read A LOT of the posts in this forum. It was VERY helpful to me before sending all the forms and now before my interview.
Goodluck!!

Your list look really okay to me except for tax retures for the past 3yrs and that of your sponsor if you are using one and also the original BC for both of you.

I pray that the Lord will grant you the desire of your heart as regarding the baby

Good luck
