Many of are in a situation that 485 is in last stage and we are facing a lay-off because of bad market situations.

My understanding is that a 485 approval means that I WILL be working for the employer after its approval. So if I have a EAD card approved and my employer is willing to bring me on the payroll even for a 2 days after the 485 is approved and then he lets me go, I am still fine and legal with the GC approval.

Does that sounds logical friends.

Your question is difficult to answer. All people know is that
you have to prove your intent to work for the sponsored company
once your I-485 is approved. Leaving the company immediately
after approval raises red flag. Irrespective of what you do
(leave or stay), you should keep a good term with your employer
so that they will not report to INS for revenge.
