Dear Gurus,

My Wife's I-485 Online Status show the below message .
Any idea whether this is a RFE?? My I-485 is Approved and she was filed as Dependent for me .

Please Advise

On October 18, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

Yes it is

It is an RFE. My wife got the same to redo her medicals. We sent the results back to USCIS today.

Hi Elcid2000,

Was there any issue in the Medical tests done Before and You had to Re-Do Again?
Did You Hire any Attroney to Reply Back or Just You send the info by Yourself? I will update when I get the Letter , what the RFE is for.

Vaccines

We were expecting a baby during our 1st medical so my wife did not take all the vaccines. The reply to the RFE was basically the sealed medical results as requested for by USCIS. I mailed the test results back to USCIS myself.
 
RFE on Medical

Hi Elcid2000,

Just got an update from old Company that the RFE for my Wife was on Medical, in that case, Please tell me

1. Can I send the Results ( sealed Letter) directly to INS?
2. Did You Attach any Letters/Documents with that?
3. Did You get your Wife's Approval yet?
4. The Old Company has said, it will not forward any documents hereafter, How can I inform INS to send send letters directly to me hereafter??
5.Was the Medical (Redo) easy or complicated?
 
Hi gc_questioner,

We did a complete medical for my wife. And sent the doctor's sealed envelope directly back to INS. Your doctor will have to include the RFE letter in the sealed envelop as well. We did not send any other docs to INS just the doctor's sealed envelope.

If your wife's RFE is just for medical, you can do the same. My wife's case has not been approved yes but the online message has changed to RFE received and the LUD has been changing everyday.

Stamping On Passport

Hi Elcid2000 or any other Forum Members,

Elcid2000 - Have You completed the Stamping on Your Passport(PP)??

Is there any count of days that before that we need to complete the Stamping on the PP?

As, My Wife's RFE( Need for Medical X-ray - To determine there is no TB) needs to be done, can I wait till her approval is done and both of us can go at the same time for Stamping on th PP??

Please Advise.

I did my PP stamping about 3 weeks ago. My wife will do hers when she is approved.

How to Attach Original Sheet ?

Elcid2000,

The doctor after doing the re-examination for my wife (for Chest X-ray) , sealed the Envelope without attaching the Blue Copy ( the Original Form from INS ).

Is it the Normal way the Doctors do? or
Do I have to Request them to attach the Original form inside the sealed Envelop again? or
Can I attach the original seperately and send both of them(sealed envelop + Original) together in a single Package?

Please advise.

You have to request that they seal the blue copy with the medical test results if that is the instruction from USCIS.
 
Response from INS

Hi Elcid2000,

Did You get any Response from INS on your wife's Approval?
How long it has been now after you sent the response to the RFE??

I have also sent the Reply to INS on my wife's case .

Wife's Case Approved

We received an online message yesterday Nov 15 on my wife's approval. About 4 weeks after USCIS received the test of her medicals (the RFE response)

Dengdeng's theory on approval 4 - 6 weeks after RFE receipt has been proved right again. Good luck !
 
Wife's case Approved!!

Elcid2000 and other members,

Happy to inform the Online message say the Case has been Approved after receipt of the RFE details.

RFE Received by INS on 09th Nov 2004 and Approved on 17th Nov 2004.
