You can create an account with USCIS.gov and enter a couple of case numbers there. That way you will be sent an email if there is an outcome or adjudication.
There is an interesting field called "Last Updated" often called the date the application was last "touched". If there some king of significant change to
the petition, then this date will change.
I am wondering about the usefulness of this information on Naturalization applicants. Would it change if your namecheck clears ? or if your file moves to the District office ?
It may be a good idea to check this date every once in a while
