Is This a Process Theory

CSC 1/04/02 JIT report states that CSC is currently processing 485 cases with PD 01/01/00. Is this more true than not true? In other words, does it mean that most of the cases until 12/31/99 have been processed?

We seem to base all our discussions on RD and ND. But is that what INS is going by? Or is it using PD and EB category instead? If i recollect, it did read on some site a several months ago that CSC was doing so. I could be wrong. If they are using PD and EB category, my understanding is that it is not allowed. They are to use only ND. Would that be correct?

Are there any EB-1 with PD prior say 10/01/99 filed at CSC still waiting? (CSC front log says 485 is 12/26/01) So, i just picked some random number a good "30" days prior to that.

good points

that may explain why May RDs getting approved! If only everyone here gives their PD/EB data, may be PCee can update the spreadsheets to be able to draw more meaningful conclusions.

BTW, it\'s Jan \'00/EB3 for me. (Aug. mailer)

rd < jan 2001

Hi

If u go to the pcee lists on tripod.com u will see only april 2001 onwards

Do we have any information less than this
for example Jan 2001 , feb 2001, march 2001 (receipt dates)

It would be nice to see them also

I don\'t think so

CSC\'s latest processing time for I485 never made any sense in the past and even now it doesn\'t make much sense. It\'s neither PD nor RD \'cause if you see the recent approvals they are contradicting each other. For PD\'s you can check ciba\'s list for people who have \'99 PD\'s still waiting for their approvals. For RD\'s we know people who have may RD\'s are also getting approved.

I-485 "Ready to Adjudicate" 01/01/00

does it mean that the oldest 485 application on anyone\'s table is with RD of 01/01/00? If so, it\'s not all that useful as it may take long time for it to change if one case gets stuck. The puzzling point seems to be the order they process after FP is cleared (collected, reviewd and approved from various agencies; AVM changing to "Processing resumed?").

I think that both RD and PD play a role because there were cases of approval within weeks of FP clearance. No one here knows an IIO to know what goes/doesn\'t go in their heads?

The date of 01/01/00 that JIT refers to is ND...

If you look at the heading on the second column of the JIT you will see that it says "We are currently processing cases with these Receipt Notice dates:". Moreover these are adjudication-ready cases, meaning that all agency reports have been received and the case is ready to be assigned. This date really does not mean anything. We are currently seeing approvals predominantly for MARCH/APRIL RD\'s with ND\'s well into JUNE. We even saw an approval for a JUNE RD case a couple of days ago. I recommend that folks do not sweat it over the JIT. BTW, Case date also means data entry date which is the ND.

PD, EB category and Country are only relevant in deciding if there is a visa number available for your case. Other than that those factors have absolutely no bearing on your I-485 adjudication. The only things that are on the critical path for adjudication are :
1) Generation of FP notices. Even though all cases are queued up in the national FP scheduling system at the time of Data Entry, which is ND, some locations in Bay Area will face a delay in actually getting FP notices. This may be due to the sheer number of applicants from the Bay Area. INS seems to regulate the number of FP notices in each batch.
2) FP done date. I think the scheduled date is strictly to enable balancing of work volume at the ASC\'s. Once FP is done, the ball is set rolling. If INS frowned upon early FP, the ASC\'s would be notified to not allow that to happen.
3) FBI Background check. Nobody really knows that this only happens based on the FP. But, that is the assumption.
4) Month of RD. Cases are supposed to get assigned by month of RD. For this to happen your case needs to be adjudication-ready. But, there are always exceptions to the rule(The JUNE RD approval is one such anomaly)
5) Completeness of your application in the eyes of the adjudicating Officer. If complete, approval else RFE.
