Actually my I485 Receipt number was missing from automated uscis system since 10/28/06 and while I am trying to check online status its giving an error called "Invalid receipt number, please enter right number. If receipt number is correct then contact where you submitted the file.”. Finally I took an info pass appointment to find out what’s going on, at counter officer failed to find out what’s happening, because my file was filed at TSC and my appointment was at Baltimore district office.
No help from my lawyer side.
So, today I called service center to find out what’s going on using poj method. My call was gone to CSC, not TSC.
I spoke with a nice lady rep and I explained about my issue. she asked me did you received any ref letter last 30 days or 60 days, I said nothing received since I filed my i485 file except fingerprinting. After my explanation she took all my information including address, receipt number, date of receipt and notice Date of my I485. After taking my data, she said, my case was out of processing time, going to file an inquiry and she gave me a reference number. Finally she said within five business days one of employee (TSC) will call you or you will receive a letter within 45 days.
I was thinking, this information looks like normal procedure right.
