Is this a normal approval notice ???

Today We received approval notice in mail. It does not have any information about infopass or passport stamping. It ust says
"This application has been approved. Alien registration card will be directly mailed the benificiary with in 120 days. Is this normal ? Did anyone get this kind of approval ? Do we still have to go for passport stamping ?

A friend of mine got approved yeaterday. Please follow up with how long it took to get the card under this new process.
