Is There Such Thing?

My ex-girlfriend texted me today and stated that she received a "federal government investigation" form for her to fill out and return immediately in regards to my "integrity" and "residency"?

Have any of you EVER heard of such form for the N400 Naturalization process? The only government investigation involved in the application process is the FBI finger printing, correct?

My questions are why would my ex-girlfriend receive this form to complete and this form has NOTHING to do with N400 process correct? She is a very vandictive type of woman and she's trying to use the form against me. She's lives in a different state and she will never mail me the form either so don't even ask.

I told her just fill it out and mail it back. She states that she will complete it to how she sees appropriate. Please tell me that there is no such form for the N400 process? I NEVER heard of that USCIS will mail out questionaires about applicant's "integrity" and "residence", have you?

Never heard of such a thing. Could it be connected to something else? Perhaps you applied for some clearance. Who knows what this is.

I've never heard of such thing..Anyone else out there got any comments?

She's your ex .. perhaps she is making stuff up..I am sure being your ex she would know that you are a resident and will apply for citizenship..See if she could at least mail you a copy..If not, I would just sit back and relax..You are called in for the interview..So they have done all the necessary background screening :) Take it easy man..

I'm trying to figure that out if it's a clearance thing? I had listed her as a reference for other applications such as licensure applications in the past when we were together, but just can't remember for the life of me what application it was!?

Yeah, I'm pretty much current on the N400 process and I've never heard of this form that she claimed that she has. Exs are exs for a reason and this girl can be extremely pain in the ass! I wanted to run this by you guys to confirm that no matter what she puts on this form, it shouldn't affect my N400 outcome!

My interview is less than 2 weeks away, I can't help but to be a little nervous. I'm glad none of you have heard of this form either!

I agree, she knows that I'm in the process of going through N400 so whatever she got in the mail, she thinks it has something to do with my Naturalization application and trying to use it against me! I'm just glad that you also never heard of such form that has to do with N400.

Come to think of it, why would USCIS survey friends and family member (or ex-girlfriend in this case) on "integrity" for N400 anyways?

Did you mention her name in any way on the N-400 or supporting documentation? If not, it almost certainly isn't related to your N-400.

Tell her your N400 was denied.... and don't give a rat ass about what she says if you have never mentioned her in the N400... did u get ur GC marrying to her...

Yes, I highly doubt this is connected to your naturalization. She could even be making the whole thing up just to cause you more grief. I know that she'll probably won't make this, but it would be great if she could fax you the form. Again, never heard of anything like this connected to N-400.

Her name was never mentioned in my N400 and I never married her (thank god)!!

Definitely not on the N400. What supporting documents could there be where I would list her name as a reference for "federal investigation for integrity and residence"? Along with you guys, I really don't think whatever she received in the mail has anything to do with my N400.

I don't think so either. Yeah, she'll never send me a copy? I'm not going to worry about it. Thanks for the confirmation though. I never heard anything like this either, but wanted to confirm with y'all.

i like ghantabro's idea..tell her your application was denied and you don't give a crap about whatever she got in the mail...i tried to do a little search over the web about this federal investigation for integrity and residence form or somethin and found nothing..it's all made up..after all she's your ex..perhaps u guys broke up in bad terms :P

There is no such thing what she has mentioned to you which I can tell you for sure as I am a former INS attorney. She is just trying to intimidate you, or might want to get back with you, or hoping to extort money out of you. Don't even pay attention to this kind of thing. USCIS doesn't have time to investigate things during Naturalization time unless there is something looks very fishy. And even if when they investigate things, they don't contact someone out of blue...nonetheless the one who is totally unknown to the gove and not involved in any form in any of your applications that filed with USCIS so far.

I remember years ago I had a friend whose sister was visiting. One early morning two INS agents came knocking on their door. They received an anonymous call stating that she is working illegally while on a tourist visa. They asked to see her passport just to make sure she didn't overstayed her visa and told her not to work and if they catch her doing so, she can be thrown out of the country and it could take her 10 years before she applies for another visa. So they do investigate sometimes. But this case is different and nobody has heard of such form. One little advice guys don't brake up before you get your citizenship, desperate ex girlfriends can lead to desperate acts:eek:

It is not uncommon for INS agents to go places and arrest people who are illegally working in the United States. I heard a few stories myself. This however is a hoax!!

I personally just wouldn't talk to her at all anyways. Don't tell her anything about your process, where you are in it, or divulge any information to her anymore. Just ignore it as it's obviously just a ploy to piss you off and make you worry...
