Company lawyer said there is negative impact on my case if I call IIO myself, is that true? Will INS inform representative company lawyer if I called IIO myself? Thanks

Yes if they have nothing better to do. I have called IIO a
few times from I-140 to 485 and they have not infomrd my employer.
 
Call to IIO

There is no harm in talking to IIO yourself. Just be aware that everytime you or your lawyer call IIO, they record on their computer when the call was made and what it was about.
 
Please do not get paranoid

I am sure talking to the ILO does not affect the process of your application. There is no way your company Lawyer will find out about the call.
