Is there anyway to get of the mess of security checks sooner..

Today I came to know that I too like many others have been stuck in "security checks". What's the best course of action to deal with this???
My I-485 was filed back in March 2005 and my FP Code 3 were taken back in May 2005. In worst/best case scenario when can I expect to see some light at the end of this tunnel (my approval).

Hello brother,

We are here waiting since oct'2004. Nothing we can do except to wait.
Nobody can help you to get out of Security Check Process. Unfortunately, The approval has to come on it's own thru the slooooooooooooow security check process :-(

So I am Waitingggggggggg......... and I am not sure how many months/years ????
 
My security check is pending from October 2003

My FBI name check is pending from Oct 2003.
Not sure is any one waiting for a name check clearance from 2003.

PD:June 2001
ND:28AUG2003
4TH EAD renewal done.
 
I am waiting since February 2004!!!! thats whne I filed my I485. not sure when securyt check was initiated. but I was told that it is in securty check.

Guys,

Did anybody have success with resolving their pending FBI Namecheck recently in the North-East (VSC)?
 
I just checked the NSC about my "Name Check", they said its been cleared. :)

Is there any difference in "Name Check Clearance" or "Security Check Clearance" or "FBI Check Clearance". Are all these separate Clearances or one and the same.

All checks can be referred to as "security checks" - which is comprised of all different kinds of checks.

BTW when was your name check intiated and when did you filed your i-485?

I called the below # and was able to get the info

Here is the Phone Number to get update about the Name Check

1-800-375-5283
option 1-2-6-1
enter your LIN# and press 1 for correct

then enter option 3 then 4 it will take you to NSC office/officer

I called USCIS long time ago and found out that my name and birthdate check is not completed since September 10,2003(which is when it was initiated).

Did FOIPA. Received reply back with "no records" found.

wondering how long it will take..

I have been in Q since July 2003. Nothing yet

What is FOIPA? People here use more acronyms than the govt, I swear! Are these acronyms explained someplace?
