I have applied for renewal of the advance parole. My current one will expire on Dec 28, 2007. I need to go home in the end of december. I have filed at the end of July. But I am having a feeling that I will not get the permit by the middle of December since there are so many applications had been filed in July. So, is there any way to get a temporary travel permit from local office by showing the receipt notice? I would appreciate your response.

I think I read in this forum that if you go to infopass they can issue you a temporary one. I also have to travel in October, my AP expires on Dec3, 2007. Will it be OK if I enter the country by Nov 27th . I am applying for renewal today and I am sure it will not arrive before the 15October
