Is there any max time u have do the stamping after approval?

I'd be interested in this answer as well

My wife is travelling to india for three months in Oct. I expect the approval before she leaves. Is we do not receive the approval before she leaves then what might happen?

Can she use her AP to get back in?
Can she get her passport stamped on her return (3 months + after approval)?
 
I am in kind of similar situation. The wife returns around mid-Oct. When I checked with the officer at the time of PP stamping last week, he said, "so long as u have a courtsey/original I-485 approval letter, u can get the PP stamped".

He didn't specify any time frame and I dare didn't ask.

My guess is that there would no time limit....


But I would think, that 6 months would be the limit....

I do not want to start any rumours but someone told me that it is about 30days.

Do you guys know of someone who had the PP stamped after 30 days?
