My employer was calling the FBI... but that was as a follow-up on it being pending and after he wrote a letter requesting attention.... but if u still dont know if ur name check is pending, then just call ur service center and check.. I call them daily to check if the clearence posted so u should be able to know from them......

I called the national CIS number maybe about 3 months ago informing them that I did not receive the RFE that they sent me. My case had been transferred to the Texas service center and the representative I talked to said the only way he was able to inform TSC is through email (which he did while I was on the line). I'm not sure that this email is available to the public...but there is a way for CIS to communicate with a service center (imagine that!).
