Is there any difference in timeframe in I-485 through marriage and through employment?

I have been wondering that does I-485 through employment go faster than through marraige?
I am married to a US citizen and applied for AOS in July 2001 and am still waiting for approval. I also dont have a SRC# ! I got a receipt but with no SRC#.
I am confused! what is the deal?? Can anyone help??
