Is there any annual quota for GCs

Does anybody know if there is any country specific GC quota. This would be a concern for 485 applicants at NSC as the other centers have a higher approval rate. Any comments/suggestions? Thanks. EB2-India, PD 04/97, RD 04/00 ND 05/00

There is annual quota for greencards in each category. For e.g.
within Employment type EB1 has certain number, EB2 has certain and so on. And again within a category, no single country can exceed so many visas (this include dependents). Thatswhy generally there is a backlog for people who belong to China & India.
It definitely affects if one center is more efficient than others. But the way Priority dates are progressing, it may not be a huge concern as of now.

I think the quota limits every country to no more than 7% of total greencards. BUT, AC21 frees up all unused GCs at the end of they year which can then be used for all countries which exceed quotas. Additionally, AC21 carried forward all the unused GCs for 99 and 2000.
