Is there always an LUD the day after FP? Please help.

Hi,

We did FP 5 days ago, and do not see an LUD in 485 till date. I read in several forums that there is an LUD immediately the day after FP.

1.) If I do not see an LUD, does it mean that my Name check was not cleared? My husband also does not see an LUD.

2.) Is my husband's case considered different and should we see different LUDs based on our individual name check clearance?

3.) Also: We made a local city police complaint 4 years ago, when we lost a bag. Does this affect Name check?

Please help. Thank you!
 
There is usually a 485 LUD change a day or two after the FP. However,for my last FP for 485, my LUD changed after 2 months.
 
See recent posts in the tracker threads... there are a lot of cases where we haven't had any LUD since the FP appointment. I myself am one of those cases, and for now, I worry not. Obviously what they are doing for updating our status is not very much consistent. Some people even report that they had'nt had any LUD until the approval. So relax and wait a little more.
 
I called FBI's 304-625-5590 number

I called FBI's number 304-625-5590, and a very nice lady, Amy came online within 5 seconds, and verified my details, and told me that both my and my husband's details were verified and sent back to USCIS on the same day.
I did not have an LUD even though at least the FingerPrints have cleared.

However, when I asked her if both finger prints and namecheck are cleared, she said they only do Finger Prints check here. She said the Namecheck is a different department, and they are NOT taking any public calls. Is this true? Are all the guys who are talking about calling FBI in the forums here "assuming" that this meant both FingerPrints and NameCheck are cleared?

Is there a different number I should try to call at FBI for Name Check?
 
A lot of folks on this site did not get LUD's when their fingerprints cleared. I also called the FBI and they said that my FP's cleared on Oct 14 and were sent back to USCIS and I've not received a LUD.

There's no number to call that will verify the name check - the only way to find out about this is to call your service center and hope that you get someone on the line who is willing to tell you that it cleared.

In my earlier posting, I had mentioned that my LUD changed 2 months after my second FP code 1. I had called FBI too and I was told that my results were processed and sent the same day back. I am assuming that my name check which was pending since 2003 got finally cleared and the LUD changed after 2 months. I haven't talked to anyone at USCIS to confirm this at the moment.

Let me know if you guys find more info on finding more about namecheck. A couple of years ago , you could email or fax a name check inquiry but I am still waiting to hear back from my last inquiry which was closer to a year ago.

I haven't seen any LUD change since my FP.

I got my second FP taken on 20th oct. Noticed lud on 23rd. Which service center is your case with?

Mine is with VSC.

I-140 EB1 OR ND May 2004, AD Dec 2004

I-485 ND Dec.2004
First FP May 2005
 
Hi,

I called FBI today. I was told that my husband's and my FP was cleared on the same day and sent back to USCIS. But there is no LUD in I-140 and 485 after the FP. Is this normal?

the same here. fp on 11/3 /06 and till now no LUD. is it becoming a trend?
 
What are you concerned about if there is no LUD but you can actually call the FBI to verify it?

info :
I gave my fp on 11/25 and called FBI today. They told me that fp resluts are sent in the same day itself. I called uscis to confrm it. They are tell me i need to wait 60 days to check the status.
 
After going thru this thread I went ahead and called the FBI office. As everybody else my fingerprints results were sent back on the same day. My appointment was on 11/18/06 IN LA, CA.

NO Change in LUD after the receipt notice date

I am also in the same boat as antonio. The last LUD I have is a day after the Notice date.
 
No LUD change

My FP was taken 10/21. No change in LUD for the 485 petition. It continues to be the original notice date.

I believe CIS is not keeping up LUD
