If i file from canada will it still be about 90 days? Ive been reading a bit and it seems if i file outside the US it could take years? 90 days seems to be about standard when filing in the US.

Ive discussed with my wife and we could handle 90 days apart of waiting while i work in canada. But not 3 years. Anyone who has experience with this?

thanks much

If you are talking about consular processing, I believe 6-12 months is still the accepted norm. A lucky few get through faster, some also take longer. 90 days would be considered pretty good but not unheard of.

From what I read, CP used to be generally faster than AOS, but not anymore... they run about the same now (mostly because AOS has sped up, CP hasn't really slowed down.)

sorry about the confusion 90 days meaning the time it takes them to process everything up to and including the EAD for AOS.
