is there a second draw ?

hello

Am from Egypt, i want to ask if there will be a second draw for 2014 DV lottery?

i checked most of the Egyptian sites for the winner and not only me who noticed a very few that wins this year ?

so is there a possibility there will release more winners later ?
also the Eatery check page tells to keep the numbers ? if there will be no more selecte why so ?

The draw this year was for 20% more selectees than normal. I believe that means there will not be a second draw, but no one can be certain at this point, so keep your number.

Sorry, is it normal in Poland to post personal details name address and exact DV number of someone else on the Internet for all to see?

1. You should ask US Government why some people had access to personal data of other people from other countries, here is a problem...

2. This data was posted on polish forum right after results (1st May). I think that somebody who did it and was not fair.
But after that, today, this data is on polish forum, and in a lot of places on facebook(egyptian) so it is no more private data...
It is like with the naked pics of celebrities, if somebody post it on the web, it is wrong, but it is public from that moment.

You are wrong. Distributing wrongfully acquired information on internet is not OK, somebody putting it on internet does not make anything "public", and you don't need to further exacerbate the harm to the person by plastering his private information all over the internet. Please edit your post to anonymize the information!

aos13 is right, you have no right to redistribute this information just because someone else made it accidentally available. You're not stupid enough to not realize a lot more people read this than some Polish forum, surely? And it doesn't say much for your Polish forum moderators that they haven't taken the info down off there.
 
It is very interesting, I wanted only to interest people that some people could see the status of other people from other part of the world.

When next time, assume dv2015 I will see Your status You will se mine , other guy will see ither guy etc who will be responsible for that ? 8 million people who will see status of other persons and post it on the web ?

no second draw... people should get over it ad move on... just wait for DV 2015 like i am doing
 
I keep checking sometimes my status online without real hope, and yeah because of 20% more selectees i don't think they will release new winners.

if the bill passes , there won't be any dv2015. Nobody fights for lottery, they argue over other details and issues but they decided - diversity visa will be abolished....they will make some changes, and bill will pass Senate and House... The Dv2014 was the last edition of GC Lottery...

Hi friend、

My answer is maybe no, maybe yes.

Last year DV2013 had a something trouble, many people lost a Confirmation Number.

If you have lost Confirmation Number, check again.

When you find a confirmation number, as a selectee of DV2013, you have to apply so quick.

there is a long way until that bill is passed... And a bill need to become a low and stuff... It is not that fast and 2015 may be the last one but not 2014

jayo2k, from what I read, they want to vote on final version in House this summer, and what I know, when president signs, this will become law quickly, not like in other countries...

another issue is that this bill will stop proceeding dv lottery winners from September 2014, so we could have lottery entry procedure and even announcement of results in May 2014, but nothing will happen in September 2014...
They have over one year to stop it and it is enough time to do that

One thing to point out is the exact wording they are using in the selectee notifications. "Approximately 125,000 individuals were registered for further processing." In the past they have always said individuals were registered and NOTIFIED. Here they are just saying they have registered, not to say they have notified all selectees.
