Is there a receipt notice for I-140?

Hi guys,

My lawyer filed my I-485 and I-140 two month back, I got a receipt notice for my I-485. I am wondering is there a receipt notice for I-140? And How do I know if my I-140 is approved or not. Any info is helpful, Thank you very much........

Ask your attorney/lawyer for this receipt number.

Who suppose to keep my receipt notice, me or my lawyer?

The I-140 belongs to the sponsoring company. The receipt notice will go to them (or their lawyer). Many companies/lawyers don't seem to mind sending you a copy of the notice, some companies seem to have a policy of not doing this (who knows why).

The I-485 on the other hand (if your going the AOS route) belongs to you. You should be sent most of the correspondence for this directly I think.
