Is there a deadline to file I-485 after I-140 approval?

My I-140 was approved two months ago. After which, I went to my home-country and came back recently. I am planning to file my I-485 in August. Is there a deadline to file I-485 after the approval of I-140? Please suggest. Thanks.

Two months will not be a problem. Back in the days when there were priority dates for emplyoment-based GC's, several years later was common.

Question for Brian

Brian,
Firstly, I would like to say that I appreciate your voluntary service on this forum.
I have a question,
How about the I-485 for dependants? Once the spouse's I-140 is approved (concurrent I-485 filed for petitioner) when should the dependants file their I-485? Do we need to wait for some kind of number from the National Visa Center? the reason I am asking is how do we link the dependant's applications to the petitioner's?
Thanks for your help,

Dependants should be filed at the time as the petitioner's I-485. That way, all will (should) be approved at the same time. For employment-based GC there is no need to wait for a visa number as all categories are current.
