Hi, I came to USA two weeks ago with an immigrant visa, since the address to send the green card was note the one I was going to have the officer at port of entry told me to fill out the form OMB#1125-0004 (change of address).He told me to write the new address twice, in My Old address was \ My new address is . and then cross with pen " my old address." When they took the folder had no chance to write down the allien number.
Sent the form, but was rejected because didn't have the allien number written. Now, please....I need to know if the Allien number is the same as Registration Number in the visa. I did not get a stamp with the Allien number, except one saying admitted date and DVI... So...are these number identical or not? If I contact the embassy where the visa was issued , can they tell me. I am very concerned because the green card means much in USA. I will appreciate any reply
