Is the new EAD for 1 year or 3 years?

I am planning to renew my wife's EAD. Just curious, is the new EAD being renewed for 1 year or more than that.

1 year. Just got mine in Feb 2005.

1 year for me too, but not sure if the rule is different for renewals.
