Is status updated when FP2 notice is sent?

My fingerprints expired more than two months ago but so far have not rec'd the second finger printing notice. How do I know whether USCIS has sent it and it did not get lost in the mail? Is the status updated on the website when they send the FP notice? Will I get it or my lawyer - he is very unhelpful and for every question his standard answer is - Wait, we cannot do anything.

no way to know

for me the status did not change after notice was sent by them nor did it change after the prints were received by them.
for some people the experience is different.
bottom line....no way to say for sure whats happening.
 
Mine didn't update either.

It updated for very few people after FP2 sent. Atleast it updates for more after receipt.
 
Online status not updated for FP2 notice sent as well FP2 done.

I called service center last week to check about this, rep said it is up to the officer to make it reflected on web....
