Is RFE same as FP?

My Priority date is 12/14.
Received FP notice with Notice Date 12/25 (yes christmas day!)
Did FP on 1/13

The status on the USCIS website is "Request for Evidence" stage and says "On December 24, 2009 we mailed you a notice requesting additional evidence etc. etc."

My question(s):

Is this RFE referring to the FP notice? If yes then why hasn't it changed even though it has been two weeks since FP was done. I hope I don't have to mail back something?

Yes, for me it was the same thing. Apparently that is what it says when you get FP notice. It should change when you do the FP.
 
The status will change when they start to schedule for an interview. Your status will change very soon. You will get your interview letter and yellow letter anytime within next 3 weeks

By yellow letter do you mean "Case file review notice/Interview document checklist"? I have received that already... waiting for the interview notice now.
 
The RFE status on website refers to FP, but can also refer to RFE after interview when decision cannot be made.
As for the CFR (yellow letter), it's a generic letter that is sent out if you have answered yes to citation, being arrested etc..

If the yellow letter is indeed a generic letter, I'm wondering why my wife hasn't received it. She has a talking on the cell phone while driving ticket. (should she take the court records just in case?)

USCIS is inconsistent with sending out the yellow letter with citation disclosures..it could be a random thing. Have her bring court records in the event that IO asks for them at interview.
