My details:

RD : Sep 24 (09/24/2001)
ND : Nov 17 (11/17/2001)
FP : Mar 01 (03/01/2002)
:- I dont know what they did in this time between my RD and ND

I talked to INS officer on 11/20/2002 and she told that OCT 1st week cases are in process and told that my case is NOV 17 and it might take another 2 to 3 months.

So now I have a doubt. Is the RD date treated as "THE DATE" or the ND treated as "THE DATE".

A'm I treated as a SEP case guy or NOV case guy in general and on this board.

Guys please let me know.

Still Waiting

knows the answer to ur question. If you are not approved during the INS processing timeframes of ur RD, then u assume they go by ND and vice versa.

RD seems popular tracking choice

Hi

Most of the threads I have seen, on this board, usually talk about RD as the main tracking date, if u see postings like - All September Guys still waiting...that means folks who have a september RD (not ND).
( RD - receipt date ND - notice date)

Even as far as I understand the Visa bulletins etc. , case status as on http://www.immigration.com/processing-times/vt.html consider RD (though I find the column heading confusing ("We are Processing cases with these receipt notice dates:" ??).
Anyway I am pretty sure it's RD (experts chip in if I'm wrong)

I dunno why the person u spoke to mentioned ND, maybe that's the way they work, i.e. based on NDs so that's what she had in her mind.

HTH
