Is priority date current for family based visa too?

Questioning

New Member
I received my GC about three years back in EB-2 category. Thereafter, I filed I-485 for my wife and my daughter in Sept 2005, who could not file the GC petition with me earlier due to personal reasons.

My wife and my daughter received I-485 acknowledgments in Dec 2005 and have been getting EADs and travel paroles. Their I-485 was not getting processed because of priority date not being current.

My questions are as follows:

1. Now that EB based priority dates are current, are they also current for my wife and daughter as described above?

2. How long is USCIS taking to process cases in such cases. I.e., normally, they adjudicate 485 in about six months. But what about cases which were filed years ago and could not be processed due to non availability of numbers?
