Is Police Certificate Exempt For Bangladesh Candidate

Dear friends,

Could any bangladeshi candidate advice me about wether they need Police certificate for CP clearence from our country. As i know our country does not have such regulation and apply such document based on data base for years.KCC has some country list where candidate is not able to get police report as those countries do not apply it.Is bangladesh is on that list? On the other hand the candidate who live in abroad for years and they need to prepare police certificate where they live recently. So in this case i am really confused about police report perhapes i should get police report from the country -currently i live now,and also need to prepare one copy from my native country.
your help will be highly appreciated indeed.

Hi ,

I am bangladeshi and DV 2007 winner and waiting for the case number to become current.All the bangladeshi peoples need police certificate from the local area.It will take 7 to 10 days.

As because i am living in Dublin,Ireland more than a year so i have to manage two police certificates one from Bangladesh and also from Ireland.

I asked Dhaka Embassy in bangladesh through e-mail,they said of course you need police certificate ,they accept the validation of certificate for 1 year .

Thank you for your favourable information. As we are both DV winner so i think we can discuss all problem and share idea on the issue.
You know i will sit for the interview in Ankara so almost 8 years i have been living in Turkey as for education perpuse and now i have job too. as you said we need both police certificate from Bangladesh and the country we live currently,I am from chittagong, and where i should apply for police certificate. In district police comissoner ( Thana)?. Should i need to attand there for it to be issued.
It will be great if we talk more privately on msn.

Hi,

They only need photocopy of your passport,and other thing someone can do that for you .It is not necessery that you have to be there.

You have to submit a copy of the most recent passport photocopy, your original one will be returned after cross checking..

your police certificate will come from the permanent address you have mentioned in the passport, you have to go to affiliated police station to collect that.

Thank you for you favourable mail. actually i have my passport that issued in Ankara our bangladesh embassy and on passport i have two address as address in bangladesh and current address is as in Turkey Istanbul. So in this case what should i do-should i get verification of this from embassy as written officially,or should i send the copy to bangladesh to be verified. actually i am living in turkey for almost 9 years and i am able to get the police certificate here for me myself within 2 hours .i also show it during interview ofcourse..

If i am not wrong you have to submit police clearance certificate from all of the places you have lived after the age of 16, in your case it's Bangladesh and Turkey.

So based on the permanent address of your passport which is in Bangladesh you have to collect the police clearance certificate.

I am afraid it will be a financial hassle for you .. you may send someone to the Police Station with the passport. send it through DHL for security. but the problem is the Police will launch an enquiry to verify your status and go to the address you provided. i dont want to comment anything against Bangladesh Police.
