Is PD on I140 approval the right PD?

Guys,

Is the PD on 140 approval the actual PD? In my case, this date is off by a year. Am not sure if this by error or if it is supposed to be that way.

Thanks grunggy.

The PD on my I140 appears to be off by mistake. Should I do anything to get it corrected or does it not matter? It will matter if they process my 485 application according the PD in I140 approval.

Please throw some light.

Are you kidding? It matters tremendously. Unless the wrong date itself is before the cutoff date. If my PD was right, I would get the GC end of Feb. I'm suffering now because USCIS gave me a wrong PD and I'll have to wait for about 2 years. My boss knows this and screwed me in raise and bonus.

emailraja, have you tried to get it corrected?

Has this happend to anyone else? If anyone knows more about how to go about correcting an error of this nature, please share your knowledge.

regards

My PD was printed incorretly. My attorney filed a request for correction.
No response from USCIS after them. Doono if that has been correted at yet.
Will update this forum with any developemnts

I called CIS, they said send a fax request. I sent the fax with all relevant documents, and a month later they say the request has to come from employer, we won't respond to you. The employer told me to shut up and wait. I can't even leave. It basically means leaving for good.

How sure are we that USCIS follows the PD on I140 approval for processing 485 and not the original PD (labor receipt date)?

My guess is that the PD on 140 is only for our information but they internally will be following the labor date to priortize 485 applications. I will need to check with my lawyer though.

Nope. sorry to disappoint you. PD is also used for consular processing. the consulate doesn't care about labor cert date.
