Is part time on EAD with the employer is okay?

Hello guys,

I guess you always think that these things will not happen to you. But it finally did to me. I have been given a 2 week notice. I am still not beyond the 180 day limit after 485 application. I already have my EAD and AP.

Does anybody know whether I can now work less than 40 hours with my present employer, if he cannot place me in a job for 40 hours? Is that considered legal from INS standards? I am 2 1/2 months away from the 180 day limit. I am hoping to get something.

Thanks for your opinions. I really appreciate it.

Part time work on 485 !

As per the INS rules the total monthly compansation can not be less than what is mentioned in the Labor certification. I don\'t think there is any mention of no. of hours, you may work 20 hrs in one week, 60 hrs. another but the total monthly compansation can\'t be less than what is mentioned in LC. You may double check this with an experienced immigration attorney.
