Is Original I-797 (which has the original I-94) necessary for the H1 visa stamping?

Hello Sir,

I was on OPT. I recently got an H1.
Please let me know if I need to have the Original I-797 which has the original I-94 when I go to India from US. Do I need them for Visa stamping or any other purpose..like submitting to the airline officer etc..
Would a photo copy of the original I-797 which has the copy of the I-94 be sufficient.?

Please let me know as soon as you can. This is very important for me.

-----------You will need the Original H1 approval notice for Visa stamping. FYI Mumbai Consulate has stopped H1 or L1 visa interview as They will be moving US consulate to new Location. The I-94 you will give at airline counter when depart the US (keep the copy of I-94 front and back with you for your records.
