Is new H1B stamping required for entering USA

Hi ,
I have changed my employer but does not have the new company's H1 stamped in passport. My old employer's H1 is still valid . I am planning to visit Canada. Can I enter USA with old company's H1B and new company's approval document.
Any help appreciated.

Yes you can.

If you are going to Canada for less than 30 days, do not submit your I-94 on the way out. Be sure to carry your new approval notice with its updated I-94. Also carry latest paystubs or current EVL with you.
 
U can enter into US with a valid dated H1 visa from previous employer and a new employer's I797 approval without any issue. Dont forget to get the new I94 with new H1 expiry date. Of course you can also request to retain the I94 if your return is within 30 days of departure...
