I got a 10yr B1 Visa in 2003, entered US in 2003 from company AA and went back to India. I was very interested to come to US on H1, so got a stamping from company BB, for 2005 quota and got a H1 stamping in Mar'2005 from Chennai with Visa valid till Spt'2006. I was expecting that my B1 visa would get cancelled when H1 stamping happened, but that didn't happen. I couldn't goto US immediately on H1 due to some personal reasons and in the meantime i changed my job to company CC in India in Nov'2005.
My current company CC, required me to travel to US on a B1 visa for 1 month, which i obliged. So i entered the US on B1. Now i want to goto to US on a H1 and work for sometime in US. I don't know whether my H1 is still valid, as it has not been cancelled in my passport when i entered US on B1 the second time. The company BB which had sponsered my H1 Visa has agreed to give me the a new appointment letter and get me into US.
My questions are:
1. Is my H1 visa still valid, is there a place i can do a check for this?
2. Will i face any issues at the port of entry when i come into US on a H1 now?
