Priority date for N-400 is August 9, 2010.
I did the fingerprints on September 22, 2010.
The yellow letter I received is dated October 12, 2010.
My online status says that they sent me request for evidence (with the date matching the date of the biometrics/fingerprint letter).
I didn't get anything aside from the biometrics letter.
Called their 800 number and asked them to clarify the situation.
On November 9, I received a letter (response to my phone call) stating that the status is their mistake, and that no request for evidence was mailed to me, only the biometrics letter.
As of now, the online status still shows "request for evidence" with a reference to that non-existent request.
My local office would be Orlando, FL. And I'm not sure if the case has been transferred or not.
The yellow letter simply stated "prior to forwarding your case for interview....please bring the following documents to your interview."
So it's not clear from the letter if they have already transferred the case or not.
Looking at other people's dates, most have already received their interview letters, and some already had their interviews.
Is there anything I can do to check on the case, and to make sure that it's not stuck in the system for some reason?
