is it worth sponsoring my mom?

Hi all,

I recently became naturalized and was wondering if is it worth it to sponsor my 65 year old mother to come and live here with me. For this purpose, I have few questions that I would like to get some feedback from knowlegeable people or those who had to go through similar process and faced similar situation:

1- if I go for the option of sponsorship (she lives abroad) , will the BCIS annull her tourist visa (valid for 10 years), meaning, will she be allowed to enter the US while her immigrant visa is being processed?
2- my native language is not English, so I guess there is no way she can become a citizen after 5 years. Are there any benefits worth doing this visa process or it's just for getting a green card ( at her age, It's obvious she is not coming here to get a job!)
3- healthcare question: obviously she does not qualify for Medicare since she has never worked in the US. I live in CA (for now) I wanted to see if she will be elligible for "medical ( for needy people)" for example or any kind of health insurance at reasonable cost (which I doubt).
4- I v seen immigrants who have been sponsored by sons and daughters and despite the fact they signed affidavits of support, they received all kind of support from gov. (SSI, healthcare, etc) how do they do it?

In California there is some kind of Government Insurance provided to GC holder above age 65. This is specially for California. Try to search for it in Google. If she can get that insurance and if she wants to live here and if you want her to live here then you should sponsor her. Also there are some kind of exceptions for certain aged people in Citizenship interview which will wave her for English test and she can become a citizen. Go through Citizenship guide.

Thanks Amishah.... yeah , in california, the health program is called medi-cal... but I still need few questions be answered.... regarding citizenship, I don't think she is interested in it and the waiver conditions are kinda hard to meet ... thank you anyway...
