Is it true that Chicago is now taking loooong time for N-400 instead of 180 days?

Yes, it is true. As of November 14, they were processing applications received on February 3, 2003.

I applied in July first week still waiting.

(AILA has been showing 180 days for Chicago for last 2/3 months!)
