Is it time to file wom

Me again. My case is 485 usc wife petition for me. Was in removal, 485 file in april, 2010. The judge terminated removal on oct,2010. Had my interview on february 2011. The officier told me he need my A-file to approve me, once he get that from ice or the governement. He will approve me to give 2 weeks for that. Since then i did 4 info passes called 800 more than 200 times. I did my second biometric on 3 rd this month after my lawyer did statue inquired. My case statu online change to card production, then when i called they told me my case is still pending. I have contacted the omdusman almost 30 days ago. Contacted congressman and senator still nothing.
Now is it time for wom?? If not what else do i need to do? If yes how to do it.

You just got biometrics again this month, so your case may be up and moving again and close to approval. Also, you should give the Ombudsman at least 45 days (preferably 60) to act before filing WOM, otherwise you risk having the court throw out the WOM case for filing it before the Ombudsman had a proper chance to assist. So I would wait at least a month from now before filing WOM.
 
My lawyer said he will charge $2500 + $600 court fee. There is no way i can have that kind of money. Im thinking to do it my self

Or you could do it with some consultation from a lawyer without having the lawyer handle the whole thing.

Do the research and prepare the case yourself to the best of your ability, then have a couple of one-hour consultations with the lawyer to give you advice and review what you've prepared. Then you make the corrections and file it yourself. 2 hours at $250/hr would be $500 (plus the court fee).
