Dear friends,

I have some questions about concurrent filing of 485 for my wife.

Here is my basic information: I sent both my 140 and 485 in Nov 5 to Texas center. They issued the receipts for them at Nov 7th.

Now I start filing my wife's 485. I read the instruction in 485 form. They stated:

If the spouse or child is in the United States, the individual derivatives may file their Form I-485 adjustment of status applications concurrently with the Form I-485 for the principal beneficiary, or file the Form I-485 at anytime after the principal is approved, if a visa number is available.

So my questions are:
1. if I send my wife's 485 later than my 485, is it still concurrent for my wife?
2. do I need put all my 140, 485 receipts in her 485 package?
3. if it is concurrent, where should I send her 485 to? Do I send it to the same address for my 140/485 or send it to the address for 485 only?
4. Does she need put an employment letter in the application?
5. Does the package need put a cover letter to describe the primary beneficiary (me)'s 140/485 filing status?

Thank you for any clarification in advance!

You have a good day!

Are the dependents already in USA? If yes, the answers are
1. There is no concept of concurrent for derivatives
2. Yes, and marriage certificate
3. send it to 485 address
4. employment letter from primary;s sponsoring employer? It will definitely help, but not a requirement.
5. yes.

thank you and follow-up

thank you all for the answers!

the employment letter -- I meant my wife's employment letter. She is working in the United States.

Follow-up questions:

Currently my wife working in a Vermont Center state. I work at a Texas Center state.
1. Do I send her 485 to Texas or Vermont?
2. Will the fact that she and I work and live at two different states affect her approval, or mine?
3. My wife is applying for her H1 now. will the 485 affect her H1 application?

Thanks for all those warm-heart people!
