is it safe using AP to reenter US before I-140 approval?

I filed concurrent I 140 and 485 petition based on a EB2 substitute labor
I got AP and EAD but I 140 is not yet approved.
I do not have valid H1B visa stamp. I have H1 B extension up to 2009 based on my original I-140 approved(EB3 labor)
In case if the I 140 denied during my stay out side US I can not reenter based on AP but need ot get a new Visa stamp Right?

AP is ok

I have used AP few times to go to india, mine also stamping expired. It has nothing to do with I - 140. I have not heard of any problems with using AP.

But If underlying I-140 got denied AP based on that I-140 is invalid right?
