Is it safe to travel?? - gurus plz advise

3rd ap approved on 12/13 (nd 5/15). I-485 nd 8/01.

haven't recd the ap papers yet, have tickets (lufthansa) to fly on 12/30. really don't have any hope of getting the papers on 12/29.

so, gurus of this forum. is it safe to travel to india and have someone fedex the same to my address in india. my h1 (and wife's h4) is expired and we do NOT have a transit visa for frankfurt/germany.

i own a house here and certainly don't want to be stranded outside the US.

Chola, since you have approved AP, you could be okay.
You don't need transit visa for travelling via Lufthansa.

But yeah travelling without the Ap papers in hand is risky too.
It is essentially a tough call.
I hope you get the AP papers on 29th.

I got AP approved on Aug. 10, but got the paper at the end of the month. So don't worry. Good luck to you.
 
Don't rely on the approved noticed by looking at status on Internet.

I received my daughter's AP notice after approx. 10 months of approval as per the status and Postage stamp date.

Of course, at the time of departure I went to Jacksonville, FL office, paid fees and got another AP notices within 2 hours.
