Hi All

My I140 case ND is March 01, 2004 and now they are processing April 01, 2004 (atleast officially). The website says I can call their 800 number to get the status.

~ Do you think that its worth calling USCIS or keep waiting until for some more time ?

~ To get USCIS attention to our case, what is the best thing to do ? Call USCIS, call Senator, call Congressman or send an email ?

~ What precautions, type of lingo to be used while enquiring ?

Really appreciate your inputs on this !

For Me too.
Please suggest. My case is filed in Jan,2004.
No Updates till now.
Only doubt about my case is mine is 3 year degree.

i would suggest you guys call their 1-800 number ASAP and open an inquiry. Does no harm and you are prefectly entitled to do so given they have bypassed your dates.....having said that, it is also not very uncommon for CIS to show a processing date while at the same time have cases pending from prior dates. So nothing unusual but by all means give them a call.

You can call, the folks who answer the phone are quite clueless. Fax inquiries are somewhat better (especially at second level) in the sense that those folks can actually see some case details. But it's mostly your luck if inquiries trigger activity.

This might help you out....

Remember I-140 is employers petetion so only he or the lawyer can inquire and not the applicant. So either you have to call and say you are the employer or ask him to do it for you.
