Is it possible to transfer the I-130 between service centers?

Here is my question,

I lived in Florida when I filed an I-30 for my son (as a resident) and I had to send it to the California Service Center. I moved to Maryland about 1 year ago (I am still a resident). I was told that when filing this form from Maryland it must be filed at the Vermont Service Center.

Can I ask Immigration to transfer my I-130 from California to Vermont since I no longer live in Florida ?

You should update your address in the USCIS system. Once you do that, they'll automatically transfer your case to a respective service center. Go to the uscis.gov website and file an update for change of address. Or you can call them.

I have changed my address with USCIS

Thanks for your response.

I have changed my address with USCIS and I have received a letter showing that the records now reflect my new address in Maryland; however, USCIS has not transferred my case from the California to the Vermont service center.

Luna13, I don't think there is much you can do in this case. You've done the most important thing you had to. Now, you have to wait. By the way, years will pass before a visa will become available for your son. I think once you become a USC it'll go much faster wih your i-130.
